Land area is a measurement providing the size, in square miles, of the land portions of geographic entities for which the Census Bureau tabulates and disseminates data. Area is calculated from the specific boundary recorded for each entity in the Census Bureau's geographic database. Land area is based on current information in the TIGER® data base, calculated for use with Census 2010.
Water Area figures include inland, coastal, Great Lakes, and territorial sea water. Inland water consists of any lake, reservoir, pond, or similar body of water that is recorded in the Census Bureau's geographic database. It also includes any river, creek, canal, stream, or similar feature that is recorded in that database as a two- dimensional feature (rather than as a single line). The portions of the oceans and related large embayments (such as Chesapeake Bay and Puget Sound), the Gulf of Mexico, and the Caribbean Sea that belong to the United States and its territories are classified as coastal and territorial waters; the Great Lakes are treated as a separate water entity. Rivers and bays that empty into these bodies of water are treated as inland water from the point beyond which they are narrower than 1 nautical mile across. Identification of land and inland, coastal, territorial, and Great Lakes waters is for data presentation purposes only and does not necessarily reflect their legal definitions.

The dataset represents the lakes participating in the Citizen Statewide Lake Monitoring Assessment Program (CSLAP). CSLAP is a volunteer lake monitoring and education program that is managed by DEC and New York State Federation of Lake Associations (NYSFOLA). The data collected through the program is used to identify water quality issues, detect seasonal and long term patterns, and inform volunteers and lake residents about water quality conditions in their lake. The program has delivered high quality data to many DEC programs for over 25 years.The dataset catalogs CSLAP lake information; including: lake name, lake depth, public accessibility, trophic status, watershed area, elevation, lake area, water quality classification, county, town, CSLAP status, years sampled, and last year sampled.

The Division of Water Stream Biomonitoring Unit (SBU) dataset contains the point sampling locations at which benthic macroinvertebrates, field chemistry, and at some locations, sediment, fish or diatoms have been collected as part of the Rotating Integrated Basin Studies (RIBS) program, Rapid Biological Assessments (RAS), or special studies. The data collected are used for water quality assessment (input to the Waterbody Inventory, completion of the 305(b) report and 303(d) list of impaired Waters) and for track-down of water quality problems. The data set is maintained by the Division of Water, Bureau of Water Assessment and Management, Stream Biomonitoring Unit.

The SPDES Multi-Sector General Permit (MSGP), which is administered by the Department of Environmental Conservation (the Department), regulates stormwater discharges associated with industrial activity from a point source. The MSGP covers thirty one different industrial sectors which include activities such as mining, land transportation, and scrap recycling. This is part 2 of 2 (containing: Purchasing Decisions; Washer and Dryer; and Miscellaneous); part 1 (https://data.ny.gov/d/e58s-chjh) contains: Property Characteristics; Heating and Cooling; Water Heating; Tenant Appliances; Lighting; and Common Area. The New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA), in collaboration with the New York State Department of Public Service (DPS), conducted a statewide residential baseline study (study) from 2011 to 2014 of the single-family and multifamily residential housing segments, including new construction, and a broad range of energy uses and efficiency measures. This dataset includes data from 219 completed Multifamily owner and manager surveys. The types of data collected during the survey cover property characteristics, heating and cooling equipment, water heating equipment, tenant appliances, lighting, purchasing decision, common areas, clothes washing and drying, and miscellaneous equipment. The data is segmented to cover both common space equipment and, to the degree possible, tenant-unit equipment, such as refrigerators or clothes washers that are included in the rental by the building ownership.

Initial Claims by County (all programs) - The number of claims submitted for all UI programs. Initial claims totals are not representative of the number of individuals filing as a claimant can have multiple initial claims. ∙ Initial Claims by County - The data provided is the number of Unemployment Insurance (UI) initial claim counts, which includes new claims, additional claims, and transitional claims. • A "new claim" is the first claim for a benefit year period (e.g., for the regular UI program it is 52 weeks). An individual would only have one new claim during a benefit year period. • An "additional claim" is when another claim is filed during the same benefit year and there is intervening work between the current claim and the previous claim. For example, an individual files a new claim, goes back to work, gets laid off and files another claim before the benefit year period of the first claim expires. An individual can have multiple additional claims during the same benefit year if the individual meets the eligibility requirements. • A "transitional claim" is when a claimant is still collecting benefits at the end of their benefit year period and had sufficient wage earnings during that year to start up a new claim once the first benefit year period ends. ∙ The data by county represents the mailing address given by the claimant at the time of filing for UI. It is possible that an individual can reside in a different county than their mailing address. Also, this information does not represent the county where the individual worked. It is also possible that a claimant could have moved or changed their mailing address after filing for UI which would not be reflected here. Data for claimants residing outside of California but collecting benefits are not included in these figures nor are invalid addresses in California where a county cannot be determined. "∙ Initial claims does not represent total individuals as an individual can have multiple claims. For example, someone may begin collecting UI benefits, then go off UI to return to work, then get laid off and go back on UI. In this example, the individual would have two claim counts. " ∙ Data includes the regular UI program and the federal extended benefit programs. <b>DESCRIPCION</b> F-TWITTER-ESPAÑOL contiene las frecuencias (conteos) de todas las palabras en un corpus de aproximadamente de 218 millones de tuits en español geolocalizados en 333 ubicaciones correspondientes a ciudades de más de 100,000 habitantes en Latinoamérica, España y los Estados Unidos. Para cada una de las más de 9 millones de palabras que conforma el vocabulario, reportamos sus conteos de ocurrencias en diferentes tipos de combinaciones de mayúsculas/minúsculas, así como los conteos en cada una de las 333 ciudades. El conjunto de datos total contiene aproximadamente 9’300.000 filas y 339 columnas. Debido a su gran tamaño y para facilitar su manejo, lo hemos dividido en 8 partes cada una con 1’160.500 filas. Las filas del conjunto de datos están ordenadas de manera descendente por la frecuencia total de cada palabra en el corpus. Así, las primeras filas contienen las palabras más frecuentes. Este orden aplica también para las 8 divisiones. Entonces, la primera parte de 8, contiene palabras más frecuentes que la segunda parte, y así sucesivamente. Para su conveniencia, proveemos una versión del conjunto de datos completo en un solo archivo comprimido, el cual se encuentra en la sección “Elementos Adjuntos” en la primera parte: “F-TWITTER-SPANISH_part_X_of_8_RANK_XXXXXXX.zip”. Se provee además, el archivo F-Twitter-Espanol-metadata-ciudades.csv el cual contiene metadatos adicionales para cada una de las 333 ciudades, cuyo enlace para descarga se encuentra más abajo en esta página web en la sección “Elementos Adjuntos”. Cada una de las filas de este archivo de metadatos contiene la siguiente información: #RANK# orden secuencial de las palabras de la más frecuente a la menos frecuente #COUNTRY# nombre del país. #CITY# nombre de la ciudad. #TOTAL_WORDS# número total de palabras en los tuits de la ciudad. #TWEETS# número total de tuits en la ciudad. #VOCABULARY# número de palabras del vocabulario de la ciudad. #USERS# número de tuiteros en que produjeron los tuits. #LATITUDE# latitud de las coordenadas de la ciudad. #LONGITUDE# longitud de las coordenadas de la ciudad. Los tuits obtenidos para cada ciudad corresponden a un subconjunto de los tuits publicados aproximadamente desde Enero 1 del 2009 hasta Diciembre 31 de 2016. Cada una de las 333 localizaciones corresponde a un círculo de radio 15 millas con centro en las coordenadas de la ciudad reportadas en el archivo adjunto de metadatos.
