Routine freshwater monitoring data collected by the The WA State Department of Ecology's River and Stream Monitoring Program are summarized by a technique called the "Water Quality Index" (WQI). The WQI ranges from 1 (poor quality) to 100 (good quality). The WQI summary does not include non-standard elements like metals. For temperature, pH, oxygen, and fecal coliform bacteria, the WQI is based on criteria in Washington’s Water Quality Standards, WAC 173-201A. For nutrient and sediment measures where standards are not specific, results are based on expected conditions in a given region. Multiple constituents are combined and results aggregated over time to produce a single score for each station and each year. The WQI station map shows the WQI annual scores for all stations from 2013. These maps show status at the individual stations but also give a general sense of water quality conditions . This often doesn't apply higher in the watersheds where we have very little WQI-type data--though downstream results can provide clues about what's happening upstream.

The PDC uses this data set for its online web applications to assist the public in finding information relative to a particular jurisdiction. It is provided here for the purpose of assisting application developers and may be of limited interest for the general public. This dataset is a subset (copy) of voter registration records provided to the Public Disclosure Commission by the Washington Secretary of State (SOS) under the terms of SOS and applicable law. Use of this data is governed by any restrictions or limitations of the original release by SOS. By accessing this data you are agreeing to use the data in accordance with the RCW 29A.08.720, RCW 29A.08.740 and RCW 42.56.070(9) and any other applicable law. The PDC has removed all information from the original data set except the address and precinct information for the purpose of assisting the public in determining how their address correlates to the PDC's internal accounting of jurisdictions. This data set is updated infrequently. Please see the date of last update in the metadata. This data set can be used to correlate an address in Washington state with a precinct code. The precinct code can then be used to lookup a corresponding PDC jurisdiction and office in the data set containing the PDCs precinct to jurisdiction crosswalk. These data are provided as-is and may contain errors or omissions. Please refer to the SOS for the most recent data.

The database includes feature classes showing locations where mercury, arsenic, and asbestos have been reported. Potential asbestos hazard is represented with polygons showing the extent of geologic units likely to contain asbestos minerals. The database also contains a feature class showing the locations of uranium sources.</span></p> <p><span style='font-family: Arial, sans-serif; background-image: initial; background-position: initial; background-size: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial;'>A polygon feature class provides a statewide classification of radon hazard based on 1:100,000-scale geologic mapping. Approximately 57,000 uniquely identifiable rock and soil areas were classified into high, variable, or low risk of producing radon gas.
