As a service to its constituents, the Department is making the list available to tenants seeking rental units. Neither the department nor the city of west hollywood makes any representation whatsoever about the units, including their condition, status and the terms of any rental agreement. Tenants interested in renting these units should conduct their own inquiries and investigations before entering into a rental agreement.

Buildings subject the the City's Seismic Retrofit Ordinances can be found on this page. Addresses may be looked up individually or a list of all properties subject to the ordinances is also available with the ability to filter the information in various ways. <br></div><div><br></div><div><b>Being included in the survey only indicates that a building visually appears to be of a specific construction type included within the ordinance and is not confirmation that a building is structurally deficient, hazardous or unsafe. Further evaluation by a Professional Engineer licensed in the State of California will be required to determine if retrofitting is required.</b> <br></div><div><br></div><div>All buildings on this page have been designated a building type which helps to determine which strengthening provisions the buildings must comply with.<br></div><div><br></div><div>SOFT STORY - Must comply with <a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer external" href="https://www.weho.org/home/showdocument?id=31443">Ordinance 17-1004</a>, strengthening provisions for existing wood-frame buildings with soft, weak, or open-front walls. <br></div><div><br></div><div>CONCRETE - Indicates that the buildings must comply with <a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer external" href="https://www.weho.org/home/showdocument?id=34421">Ordinance 17-1011</a>, with strengthening provisions for non-ductile concrete buildings. <br></div><div><br></div><div>STEEL - Indicates that the building must comply with <a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer external" href="https://www.weho.org/home/showdocument?id=34421">Ordinance 17-1011</a>, strengthening provisions for pre-Northridge Steel Moment Frame Buildings. <br></div><div><br></div><div>UNCONFIRMED (CONCRETE/STEEL) - This indicates that the exterior of the building visually appeared to be either a concrete building <b>or</b> a steel moment frame building during a building survey conducted from the public right of way, however there were no record documents on file at the City to make a conclusive determination.
