The Human Development Index – a composite measure of health, education and income – is the featured measure and is disaggregated by gender, race and ethnicity, gender by race and ethnicity, major Asian and Latino subgroups, and nativity at the county level. The index is also presented for 106 cities and unincorporated areas within the county, 35 City of Los Angeles Community Plan Areas and 15 City Council Districts. This dataset and the accompanying report is intended for policymakers, planners, service providers, advocates, journalists, students and anyone with an interest in exploring well-being outcomes among the many communities that make up Los Angeles County.

LA County CRAM Scores (2014-2017)
data.lacounty.gov | Last Updated 2019-08-28T17:10:54.000ZCalifornia Rapid Assessment Method (CRAM; an assessment method for monitoring the condition of wetlands) spatial data was sorted from the EcoAtlas and was then downloaded to ArcGIS where it was clipped to LA County and a color gradient depicting the CRAM scores was created for each point. CRAM data was sorted to only include sites within LA County. These sites were then sorted by watershed and by land use and presented as a percentage of sites per score.

Rural Outdoor Lighting District - Dark Skies (Unincorporated Areas)

The proposed Ordinance will establish the District with regulations that will conserve energy and resources and promote dark skies for the enjoyment and health of humans and wildlife, while permitting reasonable uses of outdoor lighting for nighttime safety and security. The regulations include limitations on allowable light trespass, fully shielding outdoor lighting, and imposes maximum heights of fixtures. The draft ordinance includes requirements for street lighting in rural areas, outdoor recreation facilities and signs. The draft map depicts areas located within the proposed District. Purpose: Supervisorial District Boundary maps for the County of Los Angeles Supplemental Information: Adopted September 27, 2011 – Another entry on this portal includes redistricting information from the Districts’ adoption in 2011, along with boundaries drawn at the TIGER street map level. Per Sec. 21500 of the California Elections Code, Supervisor District boundaries are adjusted following each decennial federal census. Published in the County Code under Title 1, Chapter 1.08, boundary descriptions are based on census tracts and city boundaries at the time of adoption. Metes and Bounds descriptions were prepared by the Department of Public Works. 2010 Census Blocks provide more information and GIS data downloads on this portal. Census tracts listed in the County Code correspond to the first six digits of the GIS attribute CTCB10.
